Because of the new restrictions that the INC has been imposing, many alternative routes to get to the Citadel of Machu have been found; during the route, we will appreciate an amazing sunrise over the snow-covered of Salkantay (6271 m.s.l.) and the first light of the sun which illuminate the summit of the mountain. The Salkantay is surrounded by many mountains such as the Umantay and the Sacsara and others. You enjoy a 5-day tour where you will enjoy some spectacular landscapes similar to the Inka Trail.
Groups: A minimum of 05 people – a maximum of 10 people.

DAY 01: Cusco – Soraypampa.- Transportation form your hotel (5a.m.), we will take a bus to Mollepata, arriving at 9:00 a.m. where we will start the adventure, we will trek for 4 hours appreciating a beautiful flora and fauna, then we will arrive to Silcakancha where we will have the lunch; then we will walk for 3 hours to Soraypampa, we will have dinner and we will rest.

DAY 02: Soraypampa – Colpapampa.- Early in the morning, we will have breakfast, ready to walk over Soraypampa (3800 m.s.l.); we will cross a pass located at 4600 m.s.l.; appreciating the Andes Mountain range. If there is any emergency, a first aid kid and an oxygen cylinder are available; after having watched such a beautiful landscape we will descend, we will have lunch and then we will arrive to Chalway or Colpapampan where we will camp, this is a tropical area where insects will be waiting for us so it’s advisable to take all the precautions. Then we will have dinner and overnight there.

DAY 03: Colpapampa – Playa.- We will wake up at 6:45 a.m. to have breakfast and we will continue the trekking to Lluscamayu where we will have lunch, we will visit Inka bridges in the route, as well as the exotic flora and fauna, after having walked for 2 hours we will arrive to La Playa, a small town, where we will camp, have lunch and rest.

DAY 04: Santa Teresa – Aguas Calientes: After having the breakfast, we will take public transportation (truck-combi) heading for Santa Teresa, then we will trek for 20 minutes to La Oroya in order to cross the Vilcanota River and after this we will trek for 2 hours arriving to the hydroelectric power station, the re we will have lunch and then we will trek to our hotel and to a tourist restaurant where we will have dinner, overnight at Machu Picchu Town.

DAY 05: Aguascalientes – Machu Picchu.- After having the breakfast, we will take a bus heading for Machu Picchu Citadel, where we will have a guided visit all over the citadel; we will have some free time to visit the historic sanctuary, in the afternoon we will back to Cusco.
