FIRST DAY .- We will leave Cusco early in the morning by a special equipped bus for the route. We will cross interesting communities visiting pre-inka graves called “Chulpas” of Dinamarca. We will cross Paucartambo a very important typical colonial town in the colonial times and it still conserves its colonial style, we will continue the tour we will arrive to a place located between two mountains called Acianacu (3850 m.s.l.). From here we will descend crossing a cloudy forest, an area which has many endemic species such as the Anteojos bear, gallito de las rocas, orchids, bromelias, ferns, etc. Here in San Pedro we will spend the night in the open air. |

SECOND DAY: In the morning, we will be able to see the entourage dance of the gallito de las rocas, national bird of Peru, which color is red, and orange-hot, we will see them from a watching platform, after having breakfast, we will cross the high jungle, over Pillcopata and then to Atalaya (600 m.s.l.), located in the shores of Madre de Dios River where a motor boat will be waiting for us, there we will continue the trip downstream and we will appreciate the flora and fauna such as herons, vultures, etc; until reaching to our private campsite. Where we will spend two nights walking around the campsite.
*1 optional.- We could descend by mountain bikes from our lodging (1700 m.s.l.) cloudy forest to Pilcopata (700 m.s.l.) high jungle.
*2 optional: From Pillcopata we will begin a trip for approximately one hour 30 minutes to 3 hours by canoe (II and III class) in the Koshnipata and Alto Madre de Dios Rivers, crossing the spectacular Pongo of Koneq where we will stop to enjoy the amazing landscape and enjoy a great bath in its crystal clear waters, we will continue until reaching our lodging.
THIRD DAY: Now we will continue the trip in the Madre de Dios River heading for the aerodrome of Boca Manu (optional flight by light airplane Cusco – Boca Manu – there is the possibility that some passenger whom did the trip by land join us, it takes 45 minutes). And in the way to Boca Manu you can buy the last ice drinks and provisions; then we will navigate in the Manu River, we will camp in the shores of the river, we will walk inside the forest and we will be able to see insects and monkeys in the surrounding area.
OPTIONAL : New Canopy Tour; the passenger has the possibility to cross tree by tree (in platforms) using a system of ropes which moves in a horizontal way over the trees having an amazing landscape of this amazing jungle where you will be able to see the flora and fauna and others in the area. A special stuff will help you to get an unforgettable experience and they will explain you all the interesting information you will need.

FOURTH DAY :Early in the morning we will stop in a surveillance post where we will present all the needed documents in order to enter to the ecological area, we will begin the tour upstream heading for Cocha Salvador where we will spend two nights in the campsite; it has an anti-insects dinner room, toilet, including communication radio. During the route we will be able to appreciate many species of birds, caimans, river turtles and some mammals. It is very often to find them in the shores of the river taking the sunlight or feeding from the local people; early in the afternoon we will spend our time looking for the wild life and at night we may have the possibility to do a short walk in the surrounding area using the catamaran of Cocha Salvador and with the help of flashlights we may see the black caiman.
FIFTH DAY: Early in the morning we will have the opportunity to visit Cocha Salvador, using the catamaran; we will be able to appreciate some species such as: the giant river otter (endangered specie), a great inhabitant that is often saw fishing, playing and swimming as well as the black caiman, spider monkey, etc. We will see the flora and fauna in the surrounding area, we will back to the camp where the stuff will be waiting for us and also the breakfast will be, we will cross the primary jungle with more animal species, it takes 4 hours to get to Cocha Otorongo, lagoon where a 15-meter –high surveillance tower is located, there we will observe the surrounding forest and we will see a great otter family.
SIXTH DAY : Now, we will take a boat in the Manu River arriving to Boca Manu, an small town located in the confluence of Manu and Alto Madre de Dios Rivers; in this point the name of the changes into Madre de Dios River, now it is the hydrographic crux of the Madre de Dios Departament, after having traveled for 4 hours, in the afternoon we will arrive to a private logging at Blanquillo where we could walk all over its path system spending one more night in the campsite.
SEVENTH DAY : Early in the morning before having the breakfast, we will appreciate, using a hiding place in front of the Collpa, a clay mountain where many kinds of parrots take all the minerals they need in order to balance their diet. Parakeets start this amazing show and the parrots end what we called the most incredible show at Manu. Ending this incredible activity, we will cross the Madre de Dios River until reaching Boca Manu where we may take a flight to Cusco; otherwise we will have to cross the Madre de Dios River and spend the night in any beach.

EIGHTH DAY : We will wake up early in the morning, crossing the river until reaching Atalaya and in the afternoon we will take a bus to Cusco, we will be there later in the afternoon, at night in that day or the next day early in the morning.
